I corsi offrono la possibilità di scoprire questa tecnica divertente ed appassionante permettendo all’allievo di realizzare piccole opere d’arte: oggetti semplici quali specchi, cornici, quadretti o più complessi quali tavolini, sculture o progetti propri.

Il laboratorio mette a disposizione una vasta biblioteca di libri sui mosaici da poter consultare, inoltre gode di una posizione strategica trovandosi a metà strada tra la città d’arte di Ravenna e le pinete e i lidi di Marina di Ravenna, Punta Marina e Lido Adriano.

Alla fine del corso verranno consegnati i mosaici eseguiti , alcune dispense e un attestato di frequenza. Su prenotazione è possibile acquistare il kit del mosaicista (con gli strumenti tradizionali ) per poter mettere in pratica le nozioni apprese in laboratorio anche a casa propria.

I corsi si svolgono anche in lingua inglese, francese e spagnolo.

Il corso comprende anche la visita ai mosaici bizantini, alle domus e al museo d’arte moderna della città Mar.
Per l’iscrizione al corso è richiesto un anticipo di 100€  che non potrà essere rimborsato in caso di rinuncia ma potrà essere utilizzato nell’arco di 12 mesi dalla data d’ iscrizione.
E’ previsto uno sconto del 10% su corsi che vanno oltre la prima settimana.

The artistic Studio Pixel Mosaici arranges personalized mosaics’ courses, individual or in groups, both for people approaching this ancient art for the first time and those who intend to improve their knowledge and skills.

The courses intend to get  the student to discover this funny and exciting  art by realizing small masterpieces : simple objects such as mirrors , frames, small pictures or more complex ones such as little tables, sculptures or personal projects.

The workshop also allows free consultation of a vast library about mosaics. Besides, it is located in a strategic area at half way among the art city of Ravenna and the pineries and “the beaches” of Marina di Ravenna, Punta Marina and Lido Adriano.

At the end of the course the realized mosaics will be given together with some issues and a certificate of attendance. By reservation, it is possible to purchase the mosaicist kit (with the traditional tools) by which the student, once back home, can put in practice the notions learnt in class.

Lessons are in  Italian, English, French or Spanish.

Included in the course schedule there is also a visit to the Byzantine mosaics, the domus and the modern museum of the city Mar.

In order to register, a deposit of 100,00€ is required.

In case of cancellation the deposit will not be refunded but kept available to be used within 12 months.

A discount of 10% will be given from two weeks courses onwards.

Il corso avanzato ha la durata di 40 ore settimanali, distribuite nell’arco di 5 giorni. Si rivolge a persone che hanno già una conoscenza di base del mosaico e che desiderano realizzare opere di una certa difficoltà o che desiderano apprendere tecniche esecutive diverse da quelle che conoscono.

Il programma, la durata e il costo del corso è da stabilirsi in base al tipo di progetto che si intende realizzare.

Decorative objects

Decorative objects course has a lenght of 13 hrs, that take place between Saturday and Sunday or during the week, depending of the students’ needs. It includes the mosaic decoration of students’own objects , such as a vase, or brand new ones such as a frame,  a vase, a tray ect . The student has at his disposal a vast choice of materials: marbles, enamels, little stones, shells, coloured glass, murrine, glass gems, gold .

The total cost of the course is 280,00€, the visit to the monuments of Ravenna is not included.

Tecnica diretta su stucco provvisorio (tecnica ravennate)

Beginner level

Total lenght of weekly 40hr, that take place over 5 days .

During the course, there will be realized two mosaics both by direct technique on temporary stucco and definitive technique. The student will learn the manual cut of the tessere by using the chisel and

marteline as well as the mosaic execution with the ravennate technique.

The mosaics will be copies of roman, byzantine and middle age ones and used materials with be solely stony ones. Total cost of the course 500,00 €.

With a little extra money also enamel and gold will be made available.

Direct technique on temporary stucco (Ravennate technique)

-       Lime preparation and consequent grid press

-       Manual cut of the tessere with traditional tools , marteline and chisel

-       Realization of the mosaic on temporary stucco (lime bed)

-       Glueing of the canvas on the mosaic and extraction from temporary support

-       Mosaic washing from the glue with detach of  the canvas

Mosaico ed antichi sapori di Romagna

La Romagna è una terra non solo ricca di arte e cultura ma anche  di tradizioni culinarie come la famosa pasta fatta in casa.

Cosa c’è di meglio di un corso di mosaico che offre la possibilità di imparare a fare anche le tagliatelle ed i cappelletti direttamente da una azdora, la classica massaia della casa?

Imparerete ad impastare e tirare la sfoglia secondo la tradizione per cappelletti, tagliatelle e garganelli da condire con sughi vari. Inoltre imparerete i segreti per fare i famosi passatelli, da cuocere in brodi di carne o pesce. Alla fine gusteremo insieme una delle paste da voi fatte, in un allegro pranzo in giardino.

Mosaic and ancient tastes of Romagna

Romagna not only is  rich in art and culture but also of culinary traditions such as famous  home- made pasta .

What could be better than a mosaic course that also offers the chance to learn how to make tagliatelle and cappelletti with the precious advices of an “azdora” ,the classic housewife ?

You will learn how to knead and roll the dough as per tradition for cappelletti, tagliatelle and garganelli to be served with different sauces . You will also learn the secrets to make famous passatelli, to cook in both meat or fish broth. At the end we will altogether taste the pasta that you made in a happy brunch outdoor.
